Cloudflare's work around remains in place and operational.

    Cloudflare has discovered IP address inconsistencies between our mapped Cloudflare IP addresses, and the IP addresses assigned by their network as DNS resolvers for encrypttitan.net.

    The discrepancies caused the CloudFlare network to automatically designate the EncryptTitan domain as "moved" (from Cloudflare's network) on 4 different occasions causing DNS outages.

    Although Cloudflare has not determined why the discrepancy existed between the IP database and our network configuration, they have stated it has been resolved for our zone.

    We deeply apologize for the resent DNS issues and for any distress it has caused.

    The "stop gap" that the Cloudflare's Global Engineering Team provided for DNS resolutions has been working as expected and we have not seen any mail flow issues.

    We will continue to monitor this incident and provide updates as information becomes available.

    However, we have not received an update from Cloudflare, other than that they have escalated it to the Global Engineering Team and it has been categorized at the highest urgency.

    Database maintenance for the Managment Portal is scheduled to take place on Monday March 24th, between the hours of 12:30 AM and 1:15 AM Eastern Time.

    The portal will be unavailable during the 45 minutes of scheduled time.

DNS Outage for the domain encrypttitan.net

    This resolved incident has been resolved.


    The registration for the encryptitan.net domain was recently move to Cloudflare in order to provide more robust security around our DNS zones.

    Cloudflare is the registrar for the encrypttitan.net DNS zone, while Verisign provides authoritative name services for Cloudflare.

    Cloudflare determined that the DS record, which is used to verify the authenticity of child zones of DNSSEC zones, was not ingested by Verisign during a DS record update - the cause is still being investigated. This made it impossible to verify the authenticity of the authoritative name server for the encrypttitan.net DNS zone.

    Cloudflare was able to correct the registry which and authoritative DNS queries were once again being answered.

    We will be investigating options to more quickly remediate such an event.
